Apps for iPhone
MiPie — an iPhone app that quietly maps the Wi-Fi networks of the places where you settle in to work. Cafés, libraries, community centers. Each record draws a 50 m circle, meaning “somewhere in here, I used this Wi-Fi.”
MiPie records only some of the networks you join, on purpose. If it stayed silent, one of these is usually why.

Two permissions are required. Location must be While Using the App with Precise Location on — iOS discloses a Wi-Fi network’s name only to apps granted precise location, so the feature cannot work without it. Motion & Fitness must be allowed, or no records are created at all.
The app must be open. iOS does not tell apps about Wi-Fi connections in the background, so a record is created when you open MiPie while connected — not while it is closed. There is no way around this.
Tap a pin, then Delete this record. Deleting is the intended escape hatch — no filter is perfect, and a place you did not mean to save can always be removed. Deleting the app removes everything.
